Mallam Mustapha Ibrahim Ahmad, a Chartered Accountant, is a 1989 Honours Degree Accounting graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCIT), Corporate Treasurers Association of Nigeria (FCTN) and Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (MNIM).
He began his career in Continental Marchant Bank in 1989 and moved to Afribank International Limited in 1993 where he rose to the rank of Chief Finance Officer.
In 1997, he joined International Trust Bank Limited as Chief Finance Officer and thereafter worked with First Bank of Nigeria between 2002 and 2006 as Deputy Treasurer.
He possesses over 34 years’ cognate work experience spanning Internal Control; Financial Reporting & Compliance; Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management; Procurement; Global Markets; Treasury Management & Corporate Finance; Global Trade Services; Risk Management; Corporate Strategy; HR; and ERP implementation for both Banking and Manufacturing domains.
He has attended several local and foreign professional training courses.
Prior to this appointment, Mustapha Ibrahim Ahmad was the Group Treasurer and Ag. Group Chief Finance Officer at Dangote Industries Limited.
